FOSDOL was established to unite all Social Development Officers within Ghana's Local Government Service under one professional umbrella, fostering solidarity, professional development, and advocacy for quality social services.

To unite, empower, and represent Social Development Officers in Ghana's Local Government Service, ensuring professional excellence, welfare, and quality social service delivery across all MMDAs.

FOSDOL History

From humble beginnings to a nationwide professional body, FOSDOL has grown to represent social development officers across all of Ghana's assemblies.

Milestone 1
Founding
FOSDOL was established to give Social Development Officers a unified voice within Ghana's Local Government Service.
Milestone 2
Expansion
Membership expanded to cover all Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies nationwide.
Milestone 3
Digitisation
FOSDOL launched its digital platform to connect members, track activities, manage training, and share resources.

Today
FOSDOL serves + active members across regions, with a robust governance structure.
